Hôtel Port-Royal

Hotel room was lovely. Kitchenette with necessary equipment, kettle, coffee machine, bed settee and table plus chairs provided. Large bathroom with toiletries and towels. Clean comfy bed and one free coffee pod per person per day. Gym on site. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Dog friendly, but all.rooms may not be the same as some are located in an annex so check what you get when booking. Parking on site and nice reasonably priced restaurant. Petrol station next to Hotel with convenience store. Walking distance to attractions and cruise port.....if you are reasonably fit as some attractions are located at the top of the hill. Whilst close, the cruise port maybe too far for some to walk if you have heavy bags. The only downside to being next to the petrol station was the noise. Our room overlooked the petrol station and sometimes it could be quite noisy. Overall lovely place. We would stay again but not in a room over looking the petrol station.

We had a wonderful stay just before Christmas! Dannik was exceptionally helpful both over the phone when we booked and when we arrived, ensuring that we had everything we needed including for our young baby. The room was beautiful and spacious. We had two meals at the Louise restaurant attached, and were very pleased with them. Parking was convenient, costing $25/night across the street. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Would stay here again :)

We stayed at Hotel Port Royal in Quebec City for two nights and really enjoyed our experience. The room was very clean, spacious and even came with a handy kitchenette making it perfect for a short stay. The location couldn’t be better, right in a beautiful area with easy access to all the main tourist attractions. The staff were wonderful and a big shoutout to Nicolas, who checked us in and out. He was extremely friendly and helpful with everything we needed — really made us feel welcome! Parking was also very convenient, with a lot right in front of the hotel for $25 + tax per night. We loved how beautifully the hotel blends modern comfort with the charm of the original architecture. They’ve preserved some elements of the old structure which add so much warmth and character to the overall design The only minor quirk was the height of the toilet — definitely not standard, so you might need to get a little creative (or bring a high stool, haha!). We didn’t try the breakfast or room service since there are so many great cafés and restaurants nearby. Overall, a great place to stay in Quebec City — clean, comfortable and great service. We’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Hotel Port-Royal for three nights during our visit to Quebec City. Wanting to be in Vieux-Québec, we chose this hotel for its location, and it did not disappoint. The hotel is perfectly situated in the Old Port area. We parked our car in the hotel’s parking lot and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Since there are very limited parking spaces in front of the hotel, we were concerned about finding a spot if we left, so we decided to skip our planned visit to Montmorency Falls. That said, we still had a wonderful time exploring Vieux-Québec and enjoying the excellent food throughout the area. The check-in process was quick and easy. Our room was on the second floor and was well equipped (including a fridge and microwave), clean, and fresh, with a very nice view. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room also included a table and a very practical kitchenette with plates, glasses, and cutlery available (although we didn’t use them, as we ate out). This hotel would be a great choice for families with young children, as having a fully stocked kitchenette is especially convenient.

The rooms are wonderfully spacious and have been recently renovated. They feature a California king-size bed and an additional queen sofa bed. There is a fantastic restaurant on site, and the location is very convenient to everything. Parking with EV charging stations is also available.

Excellent service. Room was spacious and clean. Great location. Front desk staff courteous and friendly and the restaurant was lovely and cozy with great food and excellent service. Highly recommend this hotel

We loved our stay and will definitely return each year. The room was pristine and equipped with all the amenities, including a kitchenette. The breakfast in the attached Lōuise tavern was above expectations and the on-site Rose lounge had a warm inviting ambiance with top shelf cocktails. The hotel’s proximity to the historical sites was the perfect walking distance.

Absolutely amazing experience! Nicolas truly saved our Christmas. Even though he was extremely busy, he went above and beyond to change our room when we weren’t happy with the first one. The new room was exceptional and completely exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to George for his outstanding customer service. Special mention to the gentleman from housekeeping, he worked like a magician and made everything perfect. The view was absolutely stunning and made our stay even more memorable. The only small downside was the in-room entertainment system, the TV & radio felt a bit old school and could really use modern connectivity like casting or Bluetooth. Overall, an unforgettable stay. We are definitely coming back!
